Headquartered in Jinning County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Group Co., Ltd .(abbreviated as YPC) was established in December, 2001 after system reform of Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Industry (Group) Corporation. Its predecessor is Kunyang Phosphate Mine Bureau and Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Industry (Group) Corporation. YPC became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuntianhua Group in August, 2005.It has been forty-six years since Kunyang Phosphate Mine was founded in 1965.

    YPC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuntianhua Group. Till the end of 2010, it owns total asset of RMB5.8 billion. Its main products and services are flotation phosphate concentrate, scrubbed phosphate concentrate, phosphate powder, phosphate rock for fused calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer and yellow phosphorus, screened ore, feed dicalcium phosphate (MDCP), industrial yellow phosphorus, large earth and stone work. Scrubbed phosphate concentrate and low-arsenic yellow phosphorus are awarded as “Yunnan Provincial High Quality Products”. The Yiyang brand is awarded the Yunnan Province’s Famous Brand Name. YPC is a first-grade enterprise of the State safety standardization. So far it holds certificates of ISO9001-2000 National Quality Management System, ISO14001-2004 International Environment Management System and GB/T28001-2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System,and Management System authentication of the State. It is a first-grade enterprise of the State safety standardization and National green mine, as well as a qualified clean production enterprise of Yunnan Province.

    YPC integrate geological survey, mine design, phosphate dressing, phosphate chemical industry, technology research and development with diversified business. With four large open pit mines respectively in Haikou, Anning, Jinning and Jianshan, it is abundant in phosphate rock resources. Its mining and transport equipments are imported, which constitute the world advanced mines. With five sets of scrubbing equipment and three sets of flotation equipment in Haikou Mine, Anning Mine and Jinning Mine, it annually produces 8.20 million metric tons of raw ore, 8.28 million metric tons of scrubbed dressing ore, 8.50 million metric tons of flotation phosphate concentrate, 100,000 metric tons of ore-dressing reagent and 10,000 metric tons of yellow phosphorus. It is also qualified with first-grade of large earth and stone work.

    YPC owns a research and development center, equipped with the first-class talents, technology and equipment,   technical patents and know-how. An open development mechanism of production, academy and research is gradually established. After surmounting the technical obstacle of collophanite flotation, it developed flotation process and dressing reagent independently, which provide basis for design of large flotation device and realize mid-low-grade phosphate industrialization in Yunnan Province. Yunnan mid-low grade collophanite processing technology development and industrialization projects won State Science and Technology Progress Awards. YPC has set up ‘Yunnan Engineering Research Center of Phosphate Mining and Separation’ , ‘the State Phosphorus Resource Development and Utilization Engineering Technology Research Center ’  and postdoctoral workstations.

    YPC has maintained steady, rapid and sound growth since system reform in 2001. The comprehensive performance and selecting technical and economic indexes are currently at an advanced level in domestic chemical industry. Additionally, it was awarded ‘advanced mining enterprise for reasonable exploitation and utilization of mineral’ by the Ministry of Land and Resources, set an example of   mining development and environmental protection’ in Yunnan, and rated as ‘Yunnan provincial quality and benefit advanced enterprise’ .

With the strategy of ‘Taking fertilizer industry as mainstay and diversity developments’ of Yuntianhua Group, YPC will insist on scientific development, carry forward the spirit of enterprise, pay equal attention to the benefits on resource, enterprise, environment and society.
